Welcome to The Halfnerd Girl!

Who am I? Alice: expert daydreamer, fashion freak, Ravenclaw and severe book nerd. I have a huge interest in photography and travelling the world - also, I drink a lot of lattes. I'm a Nordic who grew up in southern Europe so think of me as a viking with a(n occasional)tan...uhm...also, I'm kind of wierd.

Enjoy and follow if you do!

  Super Simple Styling for autumn

Hey! Sorry I've been a bit MIA over the last couple days but I've been a nervous wreck about the written driving exam that I had today and I couldn't bring myself to write blogposts when I was studying 24/7 and stressing out...I don't think I've ever been so nervous for anything in my entire life haha. However, I PASSED (never been so happy!!) and now things can go back to somewhat normal until my practical next week! :)

I think everyone has a basic outfit that they tend to hover towards on those days where inspiration is lacking. For me such an outfit typically consists of a pair of comfortable, dark pants, a cotton T and some flat boots (shown in the picture to the left.) (Pants from Zara, Top from H&M, boots (?)) This, however, is not the most exciting of outfits.

When you're spending your days indoors you can easily add a nice cardigan or some nice jewellry but when you're going to be outdoors you need to think a little more heavy duty. Its getting cold, after all (at least where I live) and jackets are essential. In the pictures above I've chosen to show you two different ways of adding a little something to your basic, quite monotonous outfit!

#1  - I added my new coat for the season - from Zara (insert eye roll here) which is navy and the perfect classic coat! Then to add some interesting elements I put on a bright pink scarf from Hermés (I love bright colours year round!) - the thick texture of this scarf makes it perfectly season appropriate! Lastly, a leopard print beanie from H&M to add a fun print!

#2 - This outfit is even easier! I just added my new blazer from Zara that has a subtle tartan print, which I'm in love with, and a cute striped hat (unsure of where from)! Super simple yet super cute!

These outfit ideas just go to show how easily you can make a basic outfit more fun by simply adding some accessories! Another plus is that these accessories will also help keep you warm!

Hope you enjoyed this post!
Tell me, what are some of your favourite fall accessories?
