Wanting to become healthier is perhaps the most common resolution of them all. Now, I'm not much for resolutions, in fact, I don't have any at all but I do feel a lot more motivated to start changing things up a little. Autumn and winter have been pretty dreary in the sense that I have been very bad at keeping up my excersising. Ugh, Alice, excersise, really? Don't you have anything more fun to blog about? Yes, exercise, really. Last year, in January, I told myself that I was going to start working out like a maniac (but in a healthy way that doesn't ruin your body, duh). I've always been pretty good at staying active but I wanted to really amp the level up and see if I could build some proper muscles and just overall give myself a stronger body. So I started running 5 - 6 times a week and somehow managed to keep it up until summer, which I am so happy about. Now, my body didn't change dramatically or anything but I felt strong and healthy all the time and that is enough of a result for me anyway! This year, I will attempt to do the same. I'm looking into what type of exercising I should do because running all the time can be damaging and I really should learn to variate. I'm just really looking forward to getting out of the winter laziness and give myself a boost. Now - to the research station (gooooogle) to figure out the details. Also, I need to buy new exercise shoes *sigh*
