Good evening fellow readers, hope you're all having a nice Thursday evening. Personally, I'm just glad it's the weekend soon & I LOVE Fridays so I'm stoked for tomorrow.
Anyhow, I was playing around in my closet earlier (as you do) and decided to take some outfit pictures. For this post I thought I'd show you three quite fancy looks all incorporating the same striped top. Everyone has a striped top, right?
1. In oufit numero uno I threw on the top over my favourite summer dress from H&M (scored it in a pre-summer sale and it was seriously the best purchase of the season) to see if I could come up with a way of wearing it during the winter....and I think it works. Adding some black Wolford tights and my fave new heels from Primark really gives the look a more season appropriate feel. Grab a sparkly clutch and you're good to go!
2. I ze second outfit I played a little with the mixing of patterns. You can't really tell from the picture, but the black, velvety skirt (from Zara) has little glittery polka dots all over it, which I think plays nicely with the contrasting stripes. It works since the polka dots are very subtle. As for accesories, I just put on a little sparkly necklace.
3. In the final outfit I wanted to add some colour, so this red pencil skirt (also from Zara) seemed like a nice match. The combo of red and stripes is a classic and if you would like to take that even further - just throw on a navy coat and voila! With such a classic look I think gold looks stunning so my clutch from Accesorize, matches fabulously!
So, yeah, I love doing little styling sessions...its a great way to really think about the clothes that you own and how they can work with each other in new and different ways than you're used to!
Now, I just gotta find a party to go to... ;)

p.s the primark heels £12 and the first time I wore them was on Halloween where I danced at a club for hours and they barely hurt at all - score.
