ABOUT

Welcome to The Halfnerd Girl!

Who am I? Alice: expert daydreamer, fashion freak, Ravenclaw and severe book nerd. I have a huge interest in photography and travelling the world - also, I drink a lot of lattes. I'm a Nordic who grew up in southern Europe so think of me as a viking with a(n occasional)tan...uhm...also, I'm kind of wierd.

Enjoy and follow if you do!

  November Music Recs
When it comes to music...I listen to a great variety of artists and genres and I have to switch it up often because I get bored quickly (not a good trait but oh well.) This means that I listen to different things pretty much every week. This is what I've been listening to throughout November.

 1.  Catching Fire Soundtrack
Not only was the film absolutely brilliant (more on this later) but the soundtrack is also pretty great.
Favourite songs:
Elastic Heart by Sia , The Weeknd & Diplo
Lights by Phantogram
We remain by Christina Aguilera (perfect power ballad :P )
Who we are by Imagine Dragons
...I could go on.

Also, check out the soundtrack for the first movie...equally as great!

2. Bastille
My friend is positively obsessed with Bastille and although I'm not really on that level I do enjoy quite a few of their songs.
In fact, I saw them in concert in Copenhagen two weeks ago and it was pretty awesome.

 Favourite Songs
Bad blood
Weights of Living pt II
These Streets

3. Sleeping at Last
Sleeping at Last is one of my all time favourite bands and I always seem to go back and listen to them during this time of year.
All of their songs are my favourite but if I had to pick a few:

Emphasis
Next to Me
Land or Sea
January White

4. Daughter

Folky/Electronic band that my friends find depressing...I, however, don't mind the slightly downer-vibe...their songs are great.
 Favourite songs:
Smother
Landfill
Candles

So yeah, those are some music recs from me to you this month...I think you should check them out stat & of course if you happen to have any recs for me then please leave a comment! I'm constantly on the hunt for new music!
