Okay, so the pictures might be a bit unclear but I hope you can tell that there is at least a slight change. After having gone a whole of nine months without cutting or highlighting my hair, I figured it was time to book an appointment to the salon.
It wasn't until I got there that I realised how much my hair really needed it. My hair was a strange combination of sun-bleached blonde and faded highlights and it was very yellow-toned - which I've realised is not the most flattering tone for me. Also, my ends were practically yearning to get chopped off.
Almost three hours later, I walked out from the hairdresser's, very much pleased with the final result. Basically, what my hairdresser did was to highlight the whole thing in different cool blonde shades resulting in an ashy blonde that I really love.
I'm always reluctant to having my hair cut because my hair grows sooo slowly and I've dreamed of having long hair my entire life. However, I need to stop avoiding getting regular trims because my hair just feels so much healthier afterwards, so its probably better in the long run.
My mom wanted me to go towards a darker, brown look but I differed. I've been brunette before and I've come to the conclusion that I feel much more like myself when I'm blondish.
So yeah, giving my hair a bit of an update was really satisfying and helped brighten these gloomy days up a little.
