ABOUT

Welcome to The Halfnerd Girl!

Who am I? Alice: expert daydreamer, fashion freak, Ravenclaw and severe book nerd. I have a huge interest in photography and travelling the world - also, I drink a lot of lattes. I'm a Nordic who grew up in southern Europe so think of me as a viking with a(n occasional)tan...uhm...also, I'm kind of wierd.

Enjoy and follow if you do!

  Movie loves: Pride & Prejudice
Source
Seeing as I'd like to think of this blog as a place where I can share some of my favourite things, I thought it was time to pay homage to one of my favourite films of all time. I have recently been slighly (re-)obsessed with it and therefore this deemed like the appropriate time to share it with you.

Joe Wrights "Pride and Prejudice" is seriously one of the most precious films I've ever seen. I don't think I need explain the premise to you because I think that most people have some sort of grasp of what this classic is about.

What I love about it is perhaps primarily (except the actual story) the gorgeous scenery and the fact that this is a very aesthetically pleasing movie...which I am very drawn to, to say the least (I often search for films only to watch something with beautiful scenery...) I also love that it feels quite modern even though it is a period film. Period films have a tendency to be a bit drab (occasionally)but this one feels young, fresh and vibrant!

Other pluses:
+Keira Knightley!
+ A myriad of other fantastic bristish actors who are great (although they are not Keira Knightley...haha...can you tell she's like my favourite actress...no?)(Just kidding...they are all just as great)
+ MR. DARCY (need I say more?)(Come on!)

Basically this is the perfect movie if you are a hopeless romantic like me and although I suspect most people have seen it, I still wanted to show my admiration towards it. Pride & Prejudice makes my top-3-favourite-movie list (maybe I'll share the rest later) and I strongly advise that you go see it if you haven't (you are missing out.)
